Another couple trips in the books and we are still making updates to our van. I’m feeling pretty good about where we are with the build, we’ll be putting on some miles later in 2021. Doing a bit of maintenance on the brake system and adding some alloy wheels and new Cooper 265/75/R16 tires.
After making a 2,500 mile trip from San Diego to Lake Oswego, Oregon and back we found that there was a need for a few updates. Especially adding a toilet, sink and wash station. With the 2020/2021 COVID lockdown I kept busy for months updating our Ford E150 van to meet our new camping standards.
This conversion has come a full circle. Back in the summer of 1969, during high school, I started my first business doing van interiors. My mother helped me sew the curtains and I did the handyman part. It’s now 2019, 50 years later and I just completed building an interior and systems for my 1998
